This little guy gets always out and enjoys a day of adventure.
I call him chewy like chewbacca from star wars 🤣. He little teeth and direction of the fur on his little legs reminds me of chewbacca catching the breeze 🤣 so cute

Sunday 13th September was the Memorial Day for those who brave men and women who stood up for their basic freedoms and liberties. The right to grow, produce and harvest food to feed their communities, to feel safe from the evils of men that decide during war to take that does not belong to them.
In Camagna we remember those 27 men who conducted raids against the Germans and Fascists within the hills, who were tortured and Killed for protecting their families, homes and communities.
So very honoured to be able to say I am a Lenti. To be able to read Agostino and Pietro Lenti’s story with pride and to realise not only does their blood run through mine and with a military background comes with a different level of understanding and appreciation for what they did not for themselves but the great good. I too carry the same belief.

What a weekend 🥂🥂🥂

August is holiday time here, the Italian summer holidays.
This month sees family go on long summer holidays, business close sometimes for a month to give staff a well deserved break.

August 15 is Ferragosto, a holiday that go back centuries. So this weekend was busy.

In all my 51 years I have need had a snake in my house until yesterday 😳😳.

But Tabitha has been gifting us with small birds, mice even small lizards, all that I can deal with but never a snake.

I can deal with most animals but snakes are my no go. It arrived alive but did not leave that way.

Once again summer fun with Camagna’s Pro Loco team.

Music from 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, piedmonts chilies, w**e, mojito’s, dancing at the steps of the church in a cool night breeze was just a fantastic Saturday night.

Using the toilet after a few 🥂 not only challenged my aging knees but also my aim 🤪🤭🤭

Lunch at the local restaurant La Rocca.

This was once a kindergarten not sure of the years of service it would have been but a lady said she went there as a child so I am politely going to say 1940, with no real evidence to back that up.

I was under the impression it used to be the home of the Strambio’s, once again no proof to back that up. Which branch of the Strambio tree I do not know either. Given Vito and Giovanna (Accatino) Strambio came out to Australia in early 1900, it could be.
Either way the 7 small dishes, w**e and coffee was food coma delicious 🤤

I was assaulted the other day!!!

The following morning ( after a massive storm) while walking I noticed a plant down, so being the kind human that I am I stood the pot back up and was spiked right in my hairline on my forehead.

I couldn’t pull it out so I went to the pharmacy; it was closed, the corner shop closed so the only place left to go was the bar at 8.30am

Luckily Christina was there and removed the spike.

That’s the last time I help a plant down.
