Marvdasht is a vast plain in north of Shiraz and due to its strategic location and mild temperature was a great place for ancient people to settle down.
Its historical background dates back to the 5th millennium BC. One of the remarkable monuments of it is Persepolis which has been built by Achaemenid emperors around 2500 years ago. If you are interested in history and ancient areas this plain is a great place to explore and learn about ancient Persia.

African and Iranian percussionists met each other for the first time before their performance in Music Museum of Isfahan. They didn't have any plan before to play Tombak together. The Iranian Tombak player couldn't speak in English and the African percussionist couldn't speak in Persian but they communicate through their eyes and played Tombak for about 10 minutes. This video which has been created by prettypersia is 2 minutes of their first meeting in Iran.
