Sepzatravel: A Journey of Resilience, Passion, and Hope
There are businesses that begin with a plan, and there are businesses that begin with a dream.
Sepzatravel began with a dream.
It was born from a deep love for Iran, a passion for travel, and a belief that the beauty, history, and soul of this extraordinary country deserved to be experienced by the world.
What started as a small tourism company soon grew beyond our expectations. Travelers from across the globe joined our journeys, discovering ancient cities, vibrant cultures, magnificent landscapes, and the warm hospitality that has always been at the heart of Iran. Demand grew so rapidly that many of our tour dates were fully booked months in advance.
As our international presence expanded, we opened a branch in Miami, Florida with the support of an American partner who had traveled to Iran several times and fallen in love with the country. Together, we created reliable solutions to overcome the challenges of international payments and sanctions, making it easier for travelers from around the world to visit Iran with confidence.
Then came the years that changed the tourism industry forever.
The Covid-19 pandemic brought uncertainty to every corner of the world. Airlines struggled, hotels faced unprecedented challenges, borders opened and closed without warning, and the future of travel seemed impossible to predict. Like many tourism businesses, we faced difficult decisions and painful losses.
Yet Sepzatravel continued.
I am Nakisa, the founder of Sepzatravel, and throughout those years I never lost faith in tourism, and I never lost faith in Iran.
While much of the industry stood still, I kept moving forward. I researched. I learned. I produced content and shared stories. I expanded my network of trusted guides, hotels, drivers, artisans, and tourism professionals. Every challenge became an opportunity to prepare for better days ahead.
Many talented colleagues left the tourism industry in search of more stable careers. Numerous travel businesses closed their doors permanently.
But for me, tourism was never simply a profession.
It is part of who I am.
My journey in tourism has been shaped by years of academic study culminating in a Ph.D. in Tourism and Hospitality, as well as practical experience across different sectors of travel and hotel management.
Tourism is not only my career. It is my identity, my lifestyle, and my lifelong passion.
During those difficult years, I adapted rather than surrendered. I transformed my home in Shiraz into a welcoming guesthouse, hosting domestic travelers and continuing to create meaningful travel experiences whenever possible. Every guest, every journey, every conversation reminded me why I had started this path in the first place.
Through periods of uncertainty, social unrest, internet blackouts, and the painful realities that touched so many lives, hope remained stronger than fear.
And today, we are still here.
With open arms.
With smiling eyes.
With the same passion that inspired Sepzatravel from the very beginning.
Today, we proudly welcome travelers once again to discover one of the world's oldest civilizations, a land where history stretches back thousands of years, where poetry lives in everyday life, where magnificent architecture rises from ancient deserts, and where hospitality remains a cherished tradition.
