🎶 What does it really mean to lead kirtan?

For Vibhooti Dasi, singing alongside the saints of Braj became a profound lesson in what kirtan is truly meant to be.

What stayed with her was not technique, but the way they approached the singing itself — with so much focus, humility and devotion. For her, it became an example of how we can all approach kirtan, whether we are leading or simply joining in.

This kind of direct learning is one of the main reasons behind Bhakti Bhajan Yatra — to spend time with people and traditions where devotional music is still a living practice, and to understand more deeply what we are doing when we sing.

🕌 In Delhi, encounter the sacred rāga tradition of Sikh Gurbani Kirtan, where scripture itself is sung as meditation and worship. Discover the living legacy of Kabir through his timeless poetry, music and teachings.

🦚 In Braj, the land of Radha and Krishna, learn traditional bhajans preserved through generations, visit sacred places, join local kirtans and spend time with saints and practitioners rooted in the Divine Name. We will also explore the devotional origins of many bhajans shared by Paramahamsa Vishwananda.

We started traveling because Paramahamsa Vishwananda taught us about the transformative power of sacred journeys. His own love for the saints inspired us to seek out the saints and experience them for ourselves. Our journeys are each blessed with His guidance even when He is not physically there.
