the 55th National Safety Day – Dock Safety Week wraps up with a powerful reminder: Safety is everyone’s responsibility. The Week marks not an end, but a stronger beginning for safety excellence.

The event was graced by VPA Management, HoD’s, Officers, employees and workmen. Addressing the gathering, Dy. Chairperson, Smt.Roshni Aparanji, IAS emphasized strict adherence to safety SOPs and launched the Digital Dock Safety Training Poster—strengthening VPA’s commitment to a robust safety culture.

The week-long observance (Mar 4–10, 2026) saw active participation from all stakeholders, reinforcing safety excellence across port operations.

The grand inauguration of , developed on VPA land, was virtually inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, in the esteemed presence of Shri Sri Bharat, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Visakhapatnam (Lok Sabha), and MLA Shri P. Vishnu Kumar Raju. The occasion was also graced by VPA Chairperson Dr. M. Angamuthu, IAS, Dy. Chairperson Smt. Roshni Aparanji Korati, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri T.
