MEN in MENstruation 🩸

When men care, listen, and lead—real change happens.

For 7+ years, Tea Promoters India has trusted Unipads to bring sustainable period care to thousands of tea pluckers in their tea gardens. But it’s the men behind the scenes who make this partnership powerful. 💚

From field staff to top leadership—they’ve shown that menstrual health isn’t just a “women’s issue.” It’s a community issue.

Because lasting impact needs men at the table too!

In the heart of rural India, our grassroots movement is building a — where women don’t just receive reusable cloth pads, they make them, teach about them, and own their dignity.

Through education, employment, and access to sustainable menstrual products, we empower girls to stay in school and women to reclaim their health — all while protecting the planet.

Because when periods are not a barrier, possibilities bloom.

Let’s keep working together for a world where every girl can manage her period with pride.

Empowering Young Minds in Rural Karwar

Through the 'School Miles' Project, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (Karwar Region) under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

Together, we reached out to schoolgirls in the rural areas of the Karwar region to spread awareness about the importance of education, hygiene, and sustainability. With interactive sessions, reusable resource distributions, and motivational conversations, we aimed to inspire these young girls to dream big and pursue education with confidence.

The smiles say it all — a small step toward creating lasting impact.

A big thank you to the teachers, volunteers, and the Konkan Railway team for making this possible.

An MHM Workshop on the shilp serene construction site!

The Unipads team is proud to have partnered with and to bring menstrual health awareness and sustainable hygiene solutions to the incredible women working at the Shilp construction site.

These women build our cities, lay our foundations, shape our skylines and yet, menstrual health often remains an overlooked challenge in their daily lives.

By providing our reusable cloth pads and breaking the stigma around periods, we are ensuring that no woman has to choose between her work and her well-being.

This is just the beginning as we at Unipads sincerely believe that change is set in motion through working on a grassroot level.

Access to education shouldn’t depend on access to hygiene. Through School Miles, we’re closing that gap and opening doors for girls across India.

Education isn’t just about classrooms—it’s about resilience, dignity, and the freedom to learn without barriers. Unipads is working on the ground, ensuring no girl has to choose between her period and her future. With every kit, every conversation, and every mile walked, we’re turning challenges into opportunities and steps into lasting change.

Because when a girl stays in school, she transforms not just her own life, but the world around her.

In the remote villages of Thara Taluka, Kalyani Pushpa made a profound impact by leading menstrual hygiene sessions for 980 young girls across 8 schools.

Through her work, she created a safe space where the girls could speak openly, ask questions, and feel understood about menstruation.

Each Kalyani at Unipads is a dedicated agent of change, quietly but powerfully working to spread understanding and break the silence around menstruation.

As a menstrual educator, she not only imparts menstrual knowledge but also dismantles long-held taboos with compassion and care.

"Stories from the Ground" is an ongoing series by Unipads, bringing to light the untold narratives of women from the grassroots levels.

At Bhadrewadi Govt Primary School, we saw firsthand the barriers these young girls face. They travel long distances for education, with limited access to essential menstrual hygiene products and facilities.

For them, basic needs go unmet, and huge gaps deprive them of the right to education.

By partnering with us, you can help keep young girls in school.
