Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) achieved a key milestone with the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Container Corporation of India Limited, and Central Warehousing Corporation for the development of bunkering and integrated logistics infrastructure at Vizhinjam, with a total investment of ₹2,000 crore.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Chief Minister’s Chamber, Legislative Assembly Complex, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Pinarayi Vijayan, who is also the Chairman of VISL. The event was attended by Minister for Ports Shri V.N. Vasavan, Secretary of Ports Dr. A. Kowsigan IAS, Managing Director of VISL Dr. Divya S. Iyer IAS, and senior officials from the participating Central Public Sector Undertakings.
This marks the first port-led logistics initiative leveraging Vizhinjam International Seaport, further strengthening its role as a key maritime and logistics hub.

Vizhinjam International Seaport Limited (VISL) achieved a key milestone with the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Container Corporation of India Limited, and Central Warehousing Corporation for the development of bunkering and integrated logistics infrastructure at Vizhinjam, with a total investment of ₹2,000 crore.

A 16-member delegation from the National Defence College (NDC) visited Vizhinjam International Seaport as part of a study programme on National Security and Strategic Studies.

Led by Ms. Anvita Sinha, IRPS, SDS, the delegation included senior officers from the Indian Armed Forces, allied services, scientific institutions, and international defence forces from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Tanzania, and Uzbekistan.

The visit, held in the presence of Dr. Divya S. Iyer IAS, Managing Director, VISL & Pradeep Jayaraman, CEO, AVPPL, and other officials highlighted Vizhinjam’s strategic importance, infrastructure capabilities, and its growing role in India’s maritime security and global trade connectivity.
