Restrictions of Tourists' Entry lifted in

The local body of North Sikkim has decided to withdraw the restriction on entry of Tourists at Lachen in . The ban has been lifted for the tourists who will be allowed to stay in Lachen as most of the hotels are ready to welcome guests and visit Lake.

Meanwhile, the Government has removed restrictions imposed on the passengers' seating capacity in all Public Transport.

Coupon system has been introduced for the entry of both Commercial and Private Vehicles at the Sunrise Point commonly known as in . Traffic Official said only 300 vehicles will be permitted on the basis of trial, started from 1st September, 2019. However, Darjeeling Association of Travel Agents countered the coupon systems, alleging that such system will lead black marketing.
