*TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 14-09-2025:-*
*NH-44 (NHW)*
Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) *has NOT been fully restored* at Tharad, Udhampur.

There was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to single lane traffic, undulating & uneven surface of the road at Tharad.

HMVs traffic was allowed from Srinagar but due to undulating & uneven surface of the road at Tharad, vehicles got jammed and were pushed through JCB and Loaders throughout the day.

In view of the above condition of the road and shortage of essential commodities in Valley and stranded fruit laden HMVs at Qazigund, *NO LMV shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa on NH-44.*

Also *NO traffic will be allowed from Distt. Doda, Kishtwar and Ramaban towards Jammu on NH-44* .

However, *Mughal road is open* for LMVs from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa.

Decision regarding the movement of HMVs shall be taken tomorrow after assessing the traffic situation and road condition.

*Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from NHIDCL, only *LMVs shall be allowed from both sides* viz from Anantnag towards Kishtwar and vice- versa on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowed *from PP Parana towards Anantnag from 0800 hrs to 1600 hrs and from PP Daksum towards Kishtwar from 0900 hrs. to 1500 hrs.* as per order issued by SDM Chhatroo vide No. SDM/C/2025-26/146-53 dated 16-05-2025 and SDM Kokernag vide No. SDM/KNG/665-71 dated 16-05-2025.

*SSG ROAD*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, (after getting green signal from the BRO) traffic movement shall be allowed on regulated manner on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road. LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0500 hrs. to 1000 hrs. Similarly, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1130 hrs to 1730 hrs . No vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing.
SFs Convoy, plying from Srinagar to Kargil and vice versa shall plan their movement in such a manner so that Civil Traffic (both UP and DOWN) don't get disturbed.

*Mughal Road:-*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (GREF). *LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice versa via Poonch*. These vehicles shall be allowed from Behramgala (Baffliaz) between 0600 hrs. to 1730 hrs and from Herpora (shopian) between 0600 hrs and 1700 hrs as per advisory issued by District Magistrate Poonch vide No. DMP/J/9291-9318 dated 31-08-2025. However,*HMVs carrying essential commodities six tyres only shall be allowed from Poonch towards Shopian and No HMV shall be allowed after 0900 hrs. from Akhnoor Naka. Moreover, no HMV will be allowed from Herpora Naka towards Poonch.* TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut off timings.

J&K govt forms high-level team to address harassment, extortion of livestock transporters in Punjab

Srinagar, July 30 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a high-level team to engage with the Punjab Government to ensure smooth movement of livestock vehicles and to address persistent complaints of harassment, extortion, and overcharging faced by transporters.

According to an order, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the government has formed the 3-member committee including Deputy Controller, Legal Metrology Department, J&K, Manoj Prabhakar, Deputy Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir Mohammad Rafeeq Bhat, and Deputy Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu Sham Lal Abrol.

The order reads that the team will visit Punjab to hold consultations with relevant departments and senior officials of the Punjab Government. "It will secure an institutional and amicable resolution that ensures hassle-free transport of livestock, safeguards the livelihoods of J&K's livestock traders, and upholds the sanctity of inter-state trade protocols," reads the order.

It added that the team will submit a detailed report to the administrative department after the visit—(KNO)

*TRAFFIC UPDATE*

>>>> Jammu-Srinagar national highway will remain closed from Nashri to Navyug Tunnel on Sunday due to urgent repairs at Dalwas Ramban. Travelers are advised to avoid using the Jammu-Srinagar on Sunday. However, Mughal Road remains accessible for vehicular traffic.
