The Kerala government appointed international consultancy firm Louis Burger Consultant Private Ltd for conducting technical, financial feasibility and environmental impact study for the proposed Sabarimala greenfield airport project.

ശബരിമല തീർഥാടകരുടെ സൗകര്യാർഥം നിർമിക്കുന്ന പുതിയ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിന്റെ സാങ്കേതിക സാമ്പത്തിക സാധ്യതാപഠനത്തിനും പരിസ്ഥിതി ആഘാത പഠനത്തിനുമായി ലൂയിസ് ബർഗർ കൺസൽറ്റിങ് പ്രൈവറ്റ് ലിമിറ്റഡിനെ നിയോഗിക്കാൻ മന്ത്രിസഭ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. ഒൻപതു മാസത്തിനകം റിപ്പോർട്ട് സമർപ്പിക്കണം. പദ്ധതിക്കു കേന്ദ്രസർക്കാരിന്റെ വിവിധ വകുപ്പുകളിൽ നിന്നും ഏജൻസികളിൽ നിന്നും അനുമതി നേടേണ്ടതും നടപടിക്രമങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചിത സമയത്തിനകം പൂർത്തിയാക്കേണ്ടതും കൺസൽറ്റന്റിന്റെ ചുമതല ആയിരിക്കും.
