Capt Rath, with three decades of experience in the shipping industry, leading an equally committed and energetic team of individuals like Mr Dayanand, Ms Kavita, Mr Albert, Mr Ganesh, Mr Kannan, Mr Mansur, Mr Vinod, and Mr Subramaniam laid the foundation of Econship on 3rd October 2009. back, since then. We have stood by our values of uncompromising integrity, humility, honesty, respect, and helpfulness. Training, coaching, mentoring, taking risks, giving no excuses, telling the truth, and perseverance are our unwavering values. Starting with a few containers in our fleet in 2009, we have managed to grow rapidly to a large fleet, growing steadily at a rate of 150% per annum. And we managed this growth during the lean periods of container shipping, following the global financial crash of 2008. We are people focussed. We comprise of A+ guys. While we groom people to A+ levels, we work hard to make them tick as a single Team. Setting aside differences in experience, age, and nationalities we work as a single team with a single dream, the dream to ‘Excellence’. We understand that use of technology is very essential. Therefore, we have a team constantly working on our home grown software to make things easier and simpler for our customers as well as ourselves. We are the first in the industry in many processes. We allow the shipper to see his Invoice on line, pay on line, make his SI, and print his OBLs on our system. All these functions are integrated into a very user-friendly and simple web interface. All these functions can be done with a few clicks. Similarly, we have a simple system for importers who can see their bills and even pay when they choose to. And we have developed the capability of paperless deliveries to the importers. No more long queues and hours of waiting at counters to collect BLs or Delivery Orders. All this is done on a secure and robust web platform.
