I rode 8 hours from Delhi to Manali on my first day on the new bike. She performed flawlessly. Thank you to Swapnil Lall for his enormous effort to sell me his beautiful motorcycle. Swapnil you are an incredible young man, it is an honour to now call you a friend.
Riding into the Kullu Valley brought back so many good memories of riding in the Himalayas for the first time 10 years ago. Again I was overwhelmed by the scale of the landscape and I know now, it only gets more extreme from here.
Staying in Manali for a couple of nights to acclimatise to the altitude a little before I ride to the Zanskar Valley region. I've been dreaming of riding the Zanskar Valley for 10 years after missing it last time I was in India.
