On this day 4 years ago!
We got a spark of idea on starting a farming business.
Into 4th years and its been ups and downs and we hope the upcoming year be a successful year.
We will start working as soon as everything settles down !

Water management is key for a successful aquaculture business.
Some claim fish farming doesn't need much technical skill, to be a successful farmer one has to strong both technically and practically.
The most basic factors a farmer must know:
pH,
Ammonia,
Nitrites,
Dissolved oxygen,
Alkalinity,
Hardness,
Turbidity.
These basic factors affect the growth of natural feed (plankton) in water.

Tilapia is a hardy herbivorous fish that feeds on algae or small aquatic plants, the fish is otherwise called as "Aquatic chicken" as they are boneless ,skinless.
The main thing is tilapia is the most controversial fish there is great debate on wheather to eat them or not. But here in Brightfins we feed them organic feeds and are grown in healthy environment. This maybe your cheapest source of protein which is many times safer to eat than farmed chicken.
We also have fish outlet in the farm itself where fishes are sold live.

Removing aquatic weeds (elephant grass) and other plants in the bund of one of our unused fish ponds.
Elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureumare) unwanted and undesirable vegetation that reproduce and grow in water. If left unchecked may choke the water body posing a serious problem to aquaculture.

: The Catla fish is an economically very important South Asian freshwater fish. It is the most cultured fish in India comes under Indian major carps. Due to its fast growth it is mostly commercially cultured. It is highly profitable to culture catla in polyculture. ✌️
