Essential Functions:
Duties include: Inspects terminal, facilities and grounds; responds to emergencies and incidents and represents management; coordinates and monitors airport construction activities; NOTAM issuance; completes special projects and/or assignments as requested; provides high level of customer service in responding to questions and inquiries from the public, airport stakeholders, and/or governmental regulatory agencies including the FAA and TSA, etc; manages tenant relationships; contract compliance, assists with the badging and training process; acts as media spokesperson on operational issues; May supervise subordinate employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE
Position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Airport Management, Aviation Science, Business or Public Administration, or a closely related field, combined with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in airport operations or administration preferred; or a high school diploma and equivalent combination of education, military experience, training and relevant airport experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Certified Member (CM) designation or ACE (Operations or Security) through the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is strongly preferred. Pilot's License a plus.

For security reasons, as per TSA Part 1542; all applicant employees of the Shreveport Airport Authority who have access to restricted areas will be required to have a 10-year criminal history check to the extent allowable by the law. Applicants found to have extensive criminal record or their misrepresentations of employment will not be eligible for employment.
