We at Wildlife Expeditions India (Formerly Overland Expeditions India) are a small passion-driven team that has been curating bespoke wildlife experiences for more than 15 years now. Our journey started as India’s first company offering authentic overland journeys throughout the Indian subcontinent. Covering areas and destinations that people had not even heard of, we explored the unexplored. Be i

t the Trans-Himalayan expedition or India north to south, the snow leopard quest, or the red panda expeditions, we did it all. In 2020 when COVID hit the world, the travel industry was probably the worst sufferer. We had to sell our camper van and stop operations completely. Going forward was tough, but we took our inspiration from mother nature, where everything evolves with time. As the industry slowly crawls to normalization, we have resumed operations. Right at the core, we are not agents but professional wildlife guides who are willing to show you simply the best that the wilderness has to offer. We keep the groups small and the experience is never compromised. As a rule of thumb, if we have not been there, we will not take you there. Every single destination that is part of our itineraries, has been explored and understood well. All our tours are led by guides who are knowledgeable, experienced, and super passionate about what they do. The logistics are also planned by the team. Share your dreams and remain assured of an experience that you will remember for life!

Tiger & Taj tour - May 2026 with

On 23rd we reached Bandhavgarh for our 15-day Tiger & Taj tour. Spending 8 nights deep in the forests of Bandhavgarh with back-to-back 17 safari drives in search of the majestic tigers and incredible wildlife.

The heat is intense, with temperatures soaring every day, but the tiger sightings around the waterholes have made every drive absolutely worth it. Watching these magnificent cats emerge from the jungle to cool off near the water is an experience beyond words.

Apart from the tigers, the forest is full of life — playful langurs, spotted deer alarm calls, vibrant birds, and unforgettable jungle sunsets. Every safari brings a new story.

After Bandhavgarh, the journey continues to Agra for the timeless beauty of the Taj Mahal, followed by Jaipur and the exciting leopard safaris at Jhalana.

Wildlife, history, and adventure — all packed into one unforgettable journey across India.

Kanha National Park
Did you see the tiny cub in 1st picture??

Kanha National Park is one of India’s most visited Tiger reserves, known for its breathtaking landscapes, rich biodiversity, and dense Sal forests. Spread across the Maikal Hills of central India, Kanha inspired the jungle setting of The Jungle Book.

The park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Barasingha, wild dogs, sloth bears, spotted deer, indian gaur, wild boar, barking deer, sambar deer, Bengal fox, civet cat, and more than 300 species of birds. Kanha is especially famous for successfully conserving the rare hard-ground barasingha.

Its habitat is a beautiful mix of open meadows, bamboo groves, wetlands, and ancient Sal forests. The park’s centuries-old Sal Forest creates a cool green canopy that supports countless species and gives Kanha its timeless natural charm.
