Perched atop the Bangira Hill, Jhansi Fort is an architectural masterpiece. Tracing its history from 1613, this historical fort in Jhansi was built by Raja Bir Singh Ju Deu - Bundela Rajput Chief and Orchha Kingdom ruler. Named after the Queen of Jhansi - Rani Lakshmibai, the fort, this popular tourist attraction in Jhansi has stood the test of time and attacks by numerous invaders.

At present, the fort complex includes temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha. Along with that, the fort also houses a museum that showcases ancient relics and artifacts that depict the history of the fort and its surrounding regions. Another highlight of this must-visit tourist place in Jhansi is the evening sound and light show that reflects the rich history of the fort and throws light on the valorous battle between Rani Lakshmibai and the British East India forces. Inside the fort, there are a few places of tourist interest - Rani Jhansi Garden, Karak Bijli Top (Tank), a "Mazar" of Ghulam Gaus Khan, Shiv temple, and Moti Bai and Khuda Baksh.
