Excellent questions to ask your doctor early on in pregnancy, if you are looking for a natural birth - Upright positions in labor, and especially during pushing, are almost always easier on both Mom and Baby!
"• What positions do you use most often for birth and why?
• What is your experience using different positions in labor?
• What are the advantages and disadvantages of different laboring positions?
• Current recommendations say upright positions are best. Can you accommodate my desire to try one or more upright positions?
• If you do not want to use alternative positions, can you recommend someone who might?"
