Some crafts are kept alive in museums. In Bagru, they're kept alive by hand.
Just outside Jaipur, this small village has been producing block-printed textiles for generations. The wooden blocks are still carved by hand. The dyes are still drawn from natural sources. And the fabric still moves through the same unhurried process it always has.
A half-day here isn't just a workshop. It's an introduction to a way of making things that the rest of the world has largely forgotten. If you'd like to weave experiences like this into a Jaipur journey, reach out at [email protected]
