Mother is a miracle of God and is simply irreplaceable. Today is Mother's Day and it's time to make your mom feel extra loved. From planning a day out with her to surprise her with gifts, there's plenty that you can do.

Mothers carry us in their wombs for nine months, but in their hearts for a lifetime.

God could not be everywhere so he created mothers.

Motherhood - All the love begins and ends there.

Mothers are our very first teachers and the first lesson they teach us is that of selfless care.

Mother is a walking miracle you see and admire every day.

The pillar that we can all lean on - a mom will always have your back.

Sometimes, all you need is a tender hug from your mom and the world seems like a great place to live in.

A genuine smile from your mother is the best reward you can ask for.

Fall in imports by Europe causes drop in auto component exports

total automobile component exports auto by about two per cent as compared to the corresponding period of last year, mainly due to 12 per cent decline in shipments at $ 915 million to Europe, the largest destination for Indian auto parts companies, industry sources said.

Shipment pulled down to $ 2.7 billion in the first quarter of the current financial year after Europe, which accounts for about one-third, slowed down imports. In the quarter ended June 30, 2014, exports to Europe had surged 23 per cent.

Shipments have grown at a compounded annual growth rate of 11 per cent for six years, according to the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (Acma).

Exports account for 29 per cent of the domestic component industry’s annual turnover of $ 38.5 billion.

India primarily exports engine parts, transmission parts, brake systems, body parts, exhaust systems, turbochargers, etc. Despite annual exports worth $11 billion, India remains a net importer of automobile components.

The country imported components worth $ 13.5 billion in 2014-15, of which electronic components were one of the key shipments, it is learn.

India offers to invest in Bangladesh’s Payra port
In a bid to improve ties between India and Bangladesh, the Union government, at the Shipping Secretary-level talks between the two countries held here last month, has offered to invest in Bangladesh’s Payra seaport on a government-to-government basis, it is learnt.

As per the minutes of the meeting held to finalise the fees for the use of Bangladesh’s river and coastal routes and the Mongla and Chittagong ports by India, the two countries are likely to discuss the modalities mutually, depending on the outcome of feasibility reports.

According to an official in the know, the study report may be completed this month and Bangladesh would decide on the next course of action based on that.

It may be noted that Bangladesh has appointed a British company called Wallingford to assess the capital and dredging requirements for development of the approach channel and its maintenance.

The Indian side said that a technical team of the Indian Ports Association (IPA) had already conducted a preliminary study and if the study report by Wallingford was shared with them, they would be able to determine the funds required.

Besides India, up to 10 other countries, including China and the Netherlands, have reportedly expressed interest in investing in the different components of the Payra seaport project.
