Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the devastating flash floods and debris flow along the Nepal-Tibet border, triggered by a catastrophic high-altitude glacier collapse. Having safely guided our own groups across this region in the past—and with a motorbike tour currently postponed—this unfolding tragedy hits particularly close to home, as those stunning mountain landscapes and communities hold a very special place for our entire travel family.

We are keeping all the families who have lost loved ones, as well as the thousands still missing, in our deepest thoughts. Enormous gratitude goes out to the local authorities, emergency response teams, and rescue workers risking everything on the ground under immensely difficult conditions. Wishing strength, safety, and resilience to everyone impacted across the region.

A few of my friends already know this, but the Himalayas are probably my favourite place I’ve ever ridden a motorcycle.

And this next Himalaya tour with Safaris for the Soul is shaping up to be something really special.

The whole route has changed because there’s now a new highest road in the world, which meant we basically needed to rebuild the itinerary from scratch. The riding is even more amazing, the landscapes are unreal, and there are a few stretches of road that I genuinely haven’t stopped thinking about since.

I’d honestly love to have some of you join me for this one. Whether you’ve ridden with us before or you’ve been sitting there thinking “maybe one day”, this would be a hell of a trip to start with.
