Indian Ports Association (IPA), New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Shri Sushil Kumar Singh, IRSME, Chairman DPA & Chairman IPA, convened meeting today with the representatives of all six labour federations to discuss the issues arising out of the wage settlement dated 24-09-2024, wherein Shri Vikas Narwal, IAS, MD, IPA, and senior officials of IPA were also present.

The focus of the deliberations was on key labour and welfare matters concerning the port workforce and it was assured that necessary action will be taken for re-constitution of Committee comprising representatives of labour federations for framing a new PLR Scheme for FY 2026-27. It was also assured that the process of wage settlement which is due w.e.f. 01.01.2027 will be initiated. Other issue were also taken up for discussion.

The representatives of the labour federations on their part assured full cooperation to the Port Management.
