Day 2 in Tokyo, part 3 🌿
After the madness of Shibuya, we ended up at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and honestly… this place felt like a reset button.
One minute you’re surrounded by giant screens, traffic lights, and thousands of people. Next minute you’re just walking under huge trees hearing birds and random footsteps on gravel. Tokyo is actually crazy like that.
Maa & Baba immediately found a bench and started chilling like they’ve lived there for years 😂
Parna was busy looking effortlessly pretty in every single frame.
And me? Full-time photographer, bag carrier, water bottle manager… basically unpaid staff at this point 📸🎒
But not gonna lie, this was probably one of my favourite parts of the day. No rush, no checklist, no “quick quick light change hoye jabe” energy. Just walking around slowly and enjoying the moment.
Tokyo can be loud and overwhelming, but places like this make you slow down a little.

Finding a moment of absolute peace right in the heart of bustling Tokyo. ⛩️✨

Exploring the serene, forested grounds of Meiji Shrine was an unforgettable experience, but getting to share it with Parna, Baba, and Maa made it truly special. From walking under the massive wooden torii gates to taking in the quiet spiritual energy of the city, there is something incredibly magical about experiencing Japan's rich culture as a family.

If you are planning a Tokyo itinerary, this tranquil escape is an absolute must-visit.

At least we know where the penguins are, right? 🐧🗺️ When Parna says she knows a shortcut, but we somehow end up looking for the flamingo exhibit on the highway. Sometimes the best part of the trip is the accidental detour. I wouldn't trade our getting-lost moments for anything! 😂🚗

Touching down and diving straight into the magic! 🇯🇵 Day 1 in Tokyo took us right to the historic heart of Asakusa. We grabbed our bearings at the Tourist Info Center before coming face-to-face with the iconic giant red lantern at Kaminarimon Gate. The energy walking down Nakamise Street was unreal—so many sights, smells, and incredible local snacks! We ended our stroll soaking in the details at the breathtaking Senso-ji Temple. This is the perfect blend of ancient tradition and bustling city life to kick off our Japan itinerary. Jet lag doesn't stand a chance! ✈️🗼

The ultimate relationship test isn't planning the wedding; it's trying to figure out which train to catch during rush hour when all the signs are in a different language! 🚂😅
If you haven’t quietly stress-argued over Google Maps on a crowded bus and then immediately eaten pastries to make up for it, are you even traveling together? Nothing bonds you quite like surviving public transit abroad.
