Tribute to Indian music maestros, sculptures of pioneers, cast in plastic or composite materials have come up at Akashvani premises at Sansad Marg, New Delhi! All India Radio is passe now, with new found Indianization of nomenclatures; Bapu's statue, slightly leaning on one shoulder, occupies centrestage! Incidentally AIR celebrates its Raising Day on the day Mahatma Gandhi visited AIR the only occasion!
AIR signature tune, based on raga Shivaranjini, and composed in 1936 by Germany born Jewish Czech refugee Walter Kaufmann, who fled the N***s and worked at AIR Bombay.
Still, nothing to beat this music for a wake up call to make a pleasant morning 🌄🌅
