ABOUT THE BIGGEST TRAVEL COMMUNITY OF WOMEN

As a teacher, life often revolves around responsibilities, planning, nurturing, and constantly giving to others. This recent journey to Bhutan with WOW Club and 11 inspiring women became a beautiful reminder for me to pause, breathe, and experience life from a different perspective — not just as an educator, but as a traveler discovering herself along the way.

From the peaceful monasteries of Thimphu to the breathtaking beauty of Punakha and the unforgettable Tiger’s Nest trek in Paro, every moment felt magical. Crossing Dochula Pass, visiting Buddha Point, exploring Punakha Dzong, walking across suspension bridges, and simply soaking in Bhutan’s calm energy made this journey truly special.

Being a recent traveler, I’ve started realizing how much travel teaches us beyond books and classrooms — patience, gratitude, courage, connection, and the beauty of different cultures. Bhutan, with its simplicity and happiness, left a lasting impression on my heart.

What made this experience even more memorable was sharing it with 11 incredible women whose positivity, strength, laughter, and stories brightened every day. Somewhere between the mountains, conversations, and shared experiences, strangers slowly became friends.

This trip was not just about exploring a new country; it was about creating memories, finding peace, stepping out of routine, and returning with a fuller heart and a refreshed mind. 🤍✨

At Neeleshwar Hermitage, the beach stretches endlessly in various shades of wheat and brown, the sea almost whispering its presence into the breeze.

Maybe that’s why I found myself reaching for my camera more than once, not to document myself in a place, but to hold on to how the place made me feel.

I’ve always been more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it.
I take photos the way some people keep diaries, quietly preserving moods, moments, colours and fleeting feelings.

I may not be everywhere in the frame, but my thoughts and emotions always are.

And somewhere between the gentle rhythm of yoga overlooking the beach,
stretching my body and mind quite literally. Also the deeply restorative Ayurvedic massages that became a daily ritual, the days seemed to slow down beautifully.

There was also such thoughtful detailing in the food, and eaten on the beach looking at the waves, was so very special.

The soups felt nourishing without trying too hard, the salads fresh, vibrant and full of flavour, every meal carrying the same sense of calm and care as the rest of the retreat.

Would I go back? Most certainly.
Perhaps this September, just after the monsoons, when Kerala feels washed clean and impossibly alive once again.

Four nights at Neeleshwar Hermitage is not an escape from the world, it is just enough time to restore your body, quiet your mind, and return to life feeling lighter, clearer, and wonderfully renewed.
