Sheetal Mehta, 54, has spent 27 years in the fashion industry, working across design, sales and marketing. Today, she runs Narayani her own home-grown clothing brand, from home.

"I had known about WOW Club, Travel for Women for a long time but somehow never got around to travelling with them. I’m so glad I finally did and Bhutan couldn’t have been a better first WOW trip.

What I loved most was the sense of security, comfort and mental peace that came with travelling with an all-women group. Everything was so well organised, from the itinerary to the logistics, allowing me to simply enjoy the journey and have my own “me time” when I wanted it.

But beyond the organisation, it was the warmth and camaraderie within the group, women looking out for each other and forming such lovely bonds, that made the experience even more special.

ITS ABOUT A REALLY HAPPY PLACE!

What comes to mind when you think about - Beautiful Monasteries, river bridges nestled in the gorgeous valleys, serene landscape and Buddhist Monks in their traditional robes.

If you are thinking about Bhutan, then you are absolutely right!

We knew that we landed in a majestic place as soon as we touched down at Paro airport, surrounded by the beautiful green valley. The clean air and the chilly surroundings were magical.

Embarking on an adventurous ride from Thimphu to Punakha and Paro, we began our time out by visiting the magnificent Buddha Statue and the adjacent Monastery.

Exploring beautiful dzongs filled with positive vibes from spinning prayer wheels, we soaked in panoramic Himalayan views at Dochula Pass. The Punakha Dzong, Bhutan's oldest and largest fortress, amazed us.

We rafted on the Punakha River, spotted colorful birds, and hiked to ancient monasteries from the 14th century.

Amidst this perfect blend of adventure and serenity, one can truly feel a profound connection to nature and something beyond our material existence.

Our trip to Bhutan illuminated why the country measures prosperity in terms of happiness levels of its people.

The most awaited place synonymous with Bhutan - Tigers Nest Monastery.

Nestled in the lap of the Himalayas, this magnificent Buddhist Monastery lies 3000 feet above the valley, inspiring awe in the heart! The path to the Monastery takes you through a pine forest route marked with traditional Buddhist flags moving in the wind to bless your journey.

This steep hike really puts meaning to the phrase - the journey is more beautiful than the destination.

In Bhutan, joy flows as naturally as the rivers and mountains, making it a must-visit for travelers seeking both inner peace and adventure.

ABOUT THE BIGGEST TRAVEL COMMUNITY OF WOMEN.

I have a decade worth of work and education experience in India, US and Italy. From working in management consulting and finance, to becoming a growth leader in a short period of time for NYC based consulting firm, it has been quite a journey.

As a 20 something year old I had already covered United States and India in its entirety. Then I got introduced to WOW Club, and it gave me the opportunity to travel and explore parts of the world with a new lens. So now I travel with WOW quiet often, each travel experience being very different and with the excellent company - it offers an elevated experience during each trip. I have met wonderful women of all ages, some successful with a wonderful future, some with a successful past enjoying their retired life through travel.

As a 30 something year old, I am now on a career break, and before I decided to take this break, I spoke to multiple WOW buddies who helped me plan my travel for this year . Special thanks to Sumitra, Shruti, Chitra, Namra, and Meenakchi for elevating my travel experience with their support and company 🙏

I had a wonderful time in Uzbekistan, despite the tumultuous geopolitical situation in March 2026. And I am ready for my travel for Sikkim Darjeeling next month. Plenty to look forward to, thanks to WOW Club and the community.

Mongolia was something else.

What did we feel coming back to revisit this extraordinary land after fifteen summers?

Perhaps the biggest surprise was how little had changed. The endless steppe, the grasslands, the sands, the dunes and the rivers — they all seemed to be saying, “Hey, we’re so happy you came back!”

And then there was the Gobi — vast, raw and magical. The dusky skies giving way to the brilliance of the Milky Way, a double rainbow that seemed to welcome us into the desert, and the joy of meeting locals and mingling with them along the way.

Standing at the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag, where the first dinosaur eggs were famously discovered, was another unforgettable moment. To stand amidst those fiery red cliffs and barren landscapes and imagine that, millions of years ago, dinosaurs roamed these very lands, was quite extraordinary. There is something almost otherworldly about the place.

And everywhere we went, there was a reminder of Mongolia’s deep-rooted relationship with horses. The horsemanship of the Mongolians is simply remarkable — horses are not merely a mode of transport here, but an intrinsic part of life, culture and identity. Watching Mongolian riders handle their horses with such natural ease across the vast steppe was a sight in itself.

Some of the most memorable moments were also the most unexpected. Like finding a little café with music playing in the absolute middle of nowhere, its walls adorned with portraits of Kenny Rogers, Gandhi and other artists. Or sipping piping-hot coffee in the middle of a valley carpeted with wild garlic blossoms — simple pleasures that somehow felt extraordinary in such a remote landscape.

We never imagined we would actually encounter supermarkets on this journey. So you can imagine the sheer excitement when we finally spotted one! And discovering Chinggis Khaan Vodka on the shelves was the icing on the cake. There was much excitement — and laughter — around that discovery!

Then came the hot-stone Mongolian barbecue, the endless bumpy dirt-track roads and, perhaps best of all, the intimate conversations that happen when you are thrown together in a vehicle for hours.

We had deliberately introduced a little twist to our convoy. Every day, we shuffled the travellers between vehicles, so nobody was travelling with the same people for long. It was an interesting exercise, to say the least — but it worked beautifully. Over the course of the journey, everyone got to know everyone: new conversations, shared laughter, unexpected friendships and stories that may never have happened otherwise.

And perhaps that is what Mongolia does so beautifully.

It gives you enormous skies, endless horizons and a sense of space that is almost impossible to describe — and yet, within all that vastness, it brings people closer.

Fifteen summers later, Mongolia still had the power to surprise me.

And this time, it felt almost as though the land itself remembered us.

"I'm Ramya Madhyastha. Born and raised in Mangalore and now settled in Bangalore, I’ve always been drawn to the mountains despite growing up by the coast. That fascination has shaped my journeys, and this was my third adventure with WOW Club, Travel for Women
after Bhutan and Ladakh, I chose the Valley of Flowers trek.

For me, this trip was more than just travel. It was a test of persistence, grit, and faith, all qualities that carried me through the breathtaking Valley of Flowers and up to the sacred Hemkund Sahib. Every step reminded me that resilience opens doors to experiences far greater than we imagine.

I knew the Valley of Flowers was remote, so I kept my expectations simple. Yet WOW Club exceeded them all from seamless coordination across hotels in Uttarakhand to the incredible campsite at Ghangaria. The WOW buddy Meenakchi and trek guide Abhimanyu ensured everything was taken care of, allowing me to focus on the journey itself.

What makes WOW special is the freedom it gives women travelers: no stress about permits, tickets, or logistics just the joy of exploration.

For anyone hesitant to travel solo, WOW is the perfect companion. I wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends, because with WOW you don’t just travel, indeed you discover yourself.

The Valley of Flowers was magical, Hemkund Sahib was humbling, and the entire experience was unforgettable.

I look forward to many more adventures with WOW, knowing that every journey will be extraordinary."

My WOW Spiti Journey

I’m Archana Kumar, an avid golfer with a deep love for travel, nature, art, and the outdoors. Exploring new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and seeking meaningful adventures are some of my greatest joys. I believe in leading an active and balanced lifestyle, with fitness and yoga being an integral part of my routine. I’m always drawn to experiences that inspire, challenge, and connect me with people and places.

That’s exactly what led me to join WOW Club, Travel for Women for my very first solo group trip.

I came with very few expectations, but I leave with memories that will stay with me for a long time. The planning was impeccable, every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the choice of stays was excellent.

What truly stood out, however, was the warmth of the group. There were women from different age groups and walks of life, yet I never once felt out of place. The camaraderie, laughter, conversations, and friendships we built made the journey even more special.

Travelling through the breathtaking landscapes of Spiti with WOW was an unforgettable experience. It wasn’t just about visiting a spectacular destination—it was about sharing stories, embracing adventure, stepping outside our comfort zones, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A special thank you to our WOW Buddy, Shruti, who was always there to take care of every little travel need with a smile. On the challenging mountain roads, her calm presence, thoughtful support, and constant care made all of us feel comfortable and looked after. She truly added to the experience.

I would happily travel with WOW Club, Travel for Women again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, thoughtfully curated, and enriching travel experience.
