A serious logistics concern that every courier and supply-chain partner should be aware of.
A COD shipment was booked from TVS Motor Company to Rajsriya Automotive Industries Pvt Ltd through TCI Express.
Tracking ID: 410000454415
COD Amount: ₹3250 (Courier freight only)
Despite multiple delivery attempts and more than two months of follow-ups, the consignee refused to accept the shipment. The parcel has now been marked RTO (Returned to Origin).
What does this mean for the logistics partner?
Forward freight: ₹3250
Return freight: ₹3250
Total logistics loss: ₹6500
This raises a serious concern for courier partners across the industry.
Why book a shipment on COD basis if the consignee has no intention of accepting it?
Why keep a shipment pending for months and then refuse it?
Logistics companies are not warehouses and certainly not financial institutions that absorb unnecessary operational losses.
I strongly advise logistics partners to be cautious while handling COD shipments involving such unresolved cases until the matter is addressed responsibly.
Hoping TVS Motor Company and Rajsriya Automotive Industries Pvt Ltd will step in, take responsibility, and settle the courier freight immediately.
Accountability is the foundation of every professional supply chain.
