Indian tourists can now enjoy river cruising in Europe, as Trafalgar has launched two new ships.

The company was previously known for its traditional guided land holidays.

The company operates the Trafalgar Verity cruise ship on the Rhine River between Basel and Amsterdam, and its second cruise ship, the Trafalgar Reverie, on the Danube River between Passau and Budapest.

Both cruise ships have three decks and can accommodate approximately 128 guests.

The Rhine Itinerary includes key destinations such as Strasbourg, Cologne, and Gorges, while the Danube Journey includes destinations such as Vienna and Bratislava.

# Egypt Introduces Digital Visa-On-Arrival:

A digital visa-on-arrival system has been implemented at all arrival terminals at Cairo International Airport in Egypt from August 2026.

This new system will use QR codes instead of traditional paper visa stickers.

Visa QR codes can be generated before departure, during the flight, or upon arrival.

Travel agencies can also generate QR codes on behalf of travellers.

The QR code can be shown to the immigration officer either digitally or as a printout, and it will be valid for 48 hours from the date of issuance.

Due to this new change, all travel agents are required to inform their clients about the new digital visa process.

They should prepare for the transition from paper visas to the QR-code-based visa-on-arrival process.

Tourism facilities are being developed at 75 lighthouses in India to promote coastal tourism.

Approximately 60 crore rupees is being invested in tourism facilities, primarily museums, amphitheatres, cafeterias, children's play areas, gazebos, landscaped areas, and elevators.

Due to the development of tourism facilities at lighthouses, more than 1.6 million tourists are visiting them each year.

According to a report, two hundred and five more lighthouses will be identified in the coming years to further boost India's coastal and heritage tourism sector.
