# China Southern Airlines To Resume Delhi Guangzhou Flights:

China Southern Airlines will return to the Indian market after six years, resuming direct service between Delhi and Guangzhou from September 21, 2026.

The airline will initially operate five flights a week between Delhi and Guangzhou.

The airline's one-way journey fare will be 22,000 Rupees, and the return journey fare will be 33,000 Rupees.

Through its Guangzhou hub, passengers will have access to over 141 cities in China, including Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, and Wuhan.

This route is expected to benefit business and leisure travellers, especially those travelling to Guangzhou for the biannual Canton Fair.

Groupe Concorde is China Southern Airlines' GSA in India.

The airline also indicated plans to expand further in India and develop its cargo business, subject to government and regulatory approvals.

# Lachen In Sikkim Has Reopened For Tourists:

Tourists and light vehicles travelling between Gangtok/Mangan and Lachen/Lachung must cross the Tung check post by 4:00 pm. Vehicles arriving after 4:00 pm will not be permitted to proceed.

The 4:00 pm deadline will apply to both sides to avoid night travel due to road, weather, and terrain conditions.

Heavy vehicles and trucks will continue to use the Sanklang-Sapho-Shipgai route.

These rules will take effect on September 10, 2026, and will remain in effect until further notice.

# Indian Tourists Have A Unique Opportunity To Experience Bangkok's Royal Heritage:

Thailand is inviting tourists from around the world to Bangkok to witness the rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession.

The main ceremony will take place on November 6, 2026, along the banks of Bangkok's Chao Phraya River.

It is being held in honour of Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana's 48th birthday.

The highlights of this procession are: 1. Approximately 2,200 Royal Thai Navy personnel will participate in the procession. 2. The procession will be approximately 1,280 meters long and 90 meters wide. 3. There will be 12 rehearsals for the procession, including two full-dress rehearsals. 4. Rehearsals usually begin around 2:30 PM.

Rehearsals will be held on September 17th and 23rd, October 2nd, 8th, and 15th, and full-dress rehearsals will be held on the 21st and 28th of the same month.

The grand procession on November 6th will depart from Wasukri Pier, pass through several major landmarks in Bangkok, and culminate at Wat Arun.

This procession is a major cultural tourism opportunity for Indian travel agents, especially for clients interested in Bangkok's royal heritage, Buddhism, culture, and unique experiences.

The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has launched a new Cruise E-Group Visit Visa for foreign tourists travelling to India on cruise ships.

Some key features of this Cruise E-Group Visit Visa are: 1. Citizens of 172 eligible countries can apply for this visa. 2. Cruise passengers can enter the country through 38 seaports. 3. The validity of this visa is 30 days. 4. Cruise operators can upload passenger details simultaneously to apply for this visa. 5. There is no limit on the number of passengers allowed when uploading passenger details. 6. Applications must be submitted at least 3 days before the ship's arrival.

With this new cruise policy, the country aims to open its 7,500 km coastline and 110 navigable waterways to cruise tourism.

Applying for visas online will provide applicants with the following benefits: 1. No digital document uploading, 2. Real-time application status updates, 3. Built-in application guidance, 4. Automatic passport information capture, 5. Less paperwork and fewer errors.

Paper applications submitted before October 1, 2026, will continue to be processed as normal.

After October 1, paper applications for affected categories will only be accepted under special circumstances.
