HOW TO MEASURE YOUR PET

An accurate measurement is essential to ensure that your dog travels in the correct size carrier. This is mandatory requirement for dog travelling as cargo or excess baggage with owner. The wrong size may not be accepted by the airline. The kennels that not meeting these criteria on dimensions or meeting the IATA Live Animal Regulations (LAR) requirements will be refused uplift. Please DO NOT includes the length of the tail while measuring.



• Start making your pet use to crate / crate training several weeks before travel.
• The pet must be able to do a complete turn inside the box and when seated is must have minimum 2 inches of space above the head.
• The crate must have a drinker(water bottle) & feeder bowl attached to the door of the crate.
• The crate must have absorbent material on the floor.
• The box must have screws or nut bolts on all sides of the crates. Twist locks are not acceptable.
• The pet’s nose or paws should not be able to fit through any ventilation opening or door mesh.


The size of the carrier must be such that it will allow your pet to stand in a natural position, turn around and sit down comfortably. There needs to be no less than 2 to 3 inches of extra headroom from the top of your pet’s head to the top of the inside of the carrier.
