CUSTOMS ICE GATE WILL BE STANDSTILL BY 27/02 and 28/02 DUE TO UNION BUDGET SCHEDULE FOR FY'2013-14

Union Budget is schedule to be released on 28th February 2013.
Ice gate is likely to be shut down from 27th February 2013 4.00pm (or 6.00pm ) .
Ice gate is likely to remain shut down on 28th Feb , 1st March / 2nd march 3rd March (Sunday) and Likely to start functioning only on late evening of 4th march 2013 or latest by 5th March Tuesday morning after due notification updation on Customs Ice-gate EDI system.
No manual permission of processing BOE/SB shall be granted by customs for any type of shipment.
Circular to this effect is still awaited from Ministry of Finance and Customs.
Customs is likely to complete the assessment of all BOE to extend possible to clear pendency on 27th before downtime schedule for close down of ice gate.

During this Budget roll out .

No Import /Export documents could be process /noted during schedule downtime of ice gate.
This is further subject to updation of notification /changes in our vendor software/e-customs which could further delay processing of documents in customs during our internal downtime.
Again it is month end and likely to be accompanied by change in exchange rate which could again lead to exercise of re-preparing , changing of checklist with reference to new exchange rates along with changes in revised custom / central excise duty structure .

Sub: TRAILER DRIVERS STOPPED MOVING TRUCK & CCTL CONTRACTOR MMSPL STOPPED WORK.
Ref: ‘O’ yard container wrongly delivered instead of Balmer CFS container to Transporter –
Container Gated out CCTL - at the end of ‘0’ gate CISF found the error – Reported Crime Police.


This is to inform you that one of ‘O’ yard container was wrongly delivered instead of Balmer CFS container to their Transporter which was Gated out CCTL/Customs/Surveyor endorsement at the end of the point CISF found and handed over to Crime Police. The above incident happened on 17/3/2012 evening. After the enquiry the driver, cleaner, surveyors brought to police custody and filed FIR on 18/3/2012. Based on the incident the association has stopped moving trailers from 18.03.12 1600hrs and CCTL contractor staff also stopped to work at cctl till releasing them. Till now no improvement.
