Chakradharpur is believed to be a quasi hill station in Jharkhand Chakradharpur is a town with a municipality in West Singhbhum district in the state of Jharkhand, India. It is located on the Chota Nagpur Plateau 62 kilometres (39 mi) west of Jamshedpur, 115 kilometres (71 mi) south of Ranchi, 101 kilometres (63 mi) east of Rourkela and 24 kilometres (15 mi) north of Chaibasa (which is the distric

t headquarters). The town serves the mineral-rich areas of Jharkhand and Odisha, as well as the cement, steel and limestone industries in the region. The major languages spoken in this area are Santali, Ho, Odia, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, English, Kurmali, Urdu, Punjabi. It has a large share of area covered with railway establishments, primarily employees' quarters. It has scenic views and secluded landscapes in the periphery. In the Indian Independence perspective, Chakradharpur had been the place for freedom fighters like Raja Arjun Singh Deo, Jagabandhu Pattanayak (Jaggu Dewan), Pandit Gopabandhu Dash, Pundit Godabarish Mishra, Rahim Bux and Fakeer Chand supporting Gandhiji for his non-cooperation movement and Khilafat Movement by Maulana Mazharul Haque against British Raj in 1920. This is one of the Railway divisions generating huge profits in goods freight sector[citation needed]. It is also known as CKP named after its Railway Station code. It is the divisional headquarters of Chakradharpur Railway Division in South Eastern Railway Zone (India) with a huge historical touch of tribal area of Chotanagpur.

अब झारखंड घुमाएंगे एमएस धोनी: पर्यटन विभाग से जल्द समझौता, राज्य को मिलेगी नई पहचान.......................
झारखंड से पर्यटन के लिहाज से एक बड़ी और अच्छी खबर सामने आई है। राज्य के पर्यटन को नई उड़ान देने की तैयारी तेज हो गई है। भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के पूर्व कप्तान और रांची के गौरव महेंद्र सिंह धोनी अब झारखंड पर्यटन का चेहरा बनने जा रहे हैं। पर्यटन विभाग और धोनी के बीच इसे लेकर जल्द ही औपचारिक समझौता होने की उम्मीद है।
पर्यटन विभाग ने धोनी को ब्रांड एंबेसडर बनाने का प्रस्ताव पहले ही भेज दिया था, जिस पर उन्होंने सैद्धांतिक सहमति दे दी है। अब एमओयू साइन करने की प्रक्रिया अंतिम चरण में है। समझौता होते ही धोनी आधिकारिक तौर पर झारखंड पर्यटन के ब्रांड एंबेसडर होंगे।
सरकार का मानना है कि धोनी जैसे लोकप्रिय और भरोसेमंद चेहरे के जुड़ने से झारखंड को राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर नई पहचान मिलेगी। झारखंड में झरने, पहाड़, घने जंगल, धार्मिक स्थल और समृद्ध जनजातीय संस्कृति मौजूद है, लेकिन अब तक राज्य अपनी पूरी पर्यटन क्षमता को प्रभावी ढंग से पेश नहीं कर पाया।
धोनी के जुड़ने से पर्यटकों की संख्या बढ़ने, होटल-ट्रांसपोर्ट-गाइड जैसे क्षेत्रों को लाभ मिलने और स्थानीय रोजगार के नए अवसर खुलने की उम्मीद है। योजना के तहत टीवी, सोशल मीडिया और डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म पर व्यापक प्रचार किया जाएगा। कुल मिलाकर, यह कदम झारखंड पर्यटन के लिए गेम-चेंजर साबित हो सकता है।
