Camp Banas, Hathwar, had the privilege of welcoming a distinguished group of senior administrative and police officers for a visit filled with nature, culture and meaningful conversations about the future of the local community.
Major visitors included:
• Dr. Sanjay Agarwal (IPS), Superintendent of Police, Shahdol — visiting Camp Banas for the first time. A highly knowledgeable person with a deep interest in nature, flora and fauna, and an impressive academic background in Ayurveda.
• Shri Shivam Prajapati (IAS), CEO, Janpad Panchayat Shahdol
• Miss Kajol Singh (IAS), SDM, Jaisinghnagar
• Smt. Akankshi Singh, President, Janpad Panchayat Beohari
• Shri Rishabh Chhari, SDOP Beohari
• CEO, Janpad Panchayat Beohari
along with around 30 other members of the administrative, police and support teams.
During their visit, the guests visited Shri Manas Mandir, Hathwar, and had the opportunity to witness the sacred manuscript of Ramcharitmanas preserved there. The group then shared a traditional lunch before spending relaxed time along the sandy banks of the Banas River.
The riverside gathering also became an engaging discussion on nature, eco-tourism and the possibilities of creating new sources of income for local communities through responsible tourism, homestays and locally operated experiences.
At Camp Banas, we believe that the future of tourism in this region lies not only in bringing visitors to the forest, but also in creating opportunities for the people who have lived alongside it for generations.
A memorable visit, meaningful conversations, and many possibilities ahead.
