Assumptions on the road are a dangerous mindset to have. While driving today, I narrowly avoided an accident in a split second. At a crossing, a large truck was turning right onto a link road, creating a complete blind spot for traffic in both directions. I was on my side, waiting for the truck to enter the link road to clear the way for vehicles on the main road. Suddenly, a car from the opposite direction, assuming no oncoming traffic, sped through without waiting for the truck to pass.
"Just one assumption could have led to an accident today, and that
driver showed no regret at all."
So, be a responsible citizen: follow traffic rules, practice patience on the road, and remember that negligence can harm you and others. Drive safe, stay safe.
