Standing at the edge of the cliffs in Sohra, you don’t just see Nohkalikai Falls—you feel it. 💧
Plunging from a height of over 1,100 feet, it’s the tallest plunge waterfall in India, where the water drops straight down into a deep turquoise pool, surrounded by lush green hills and drifting clouds.
There’s something almost surreal about this place—the roar of the falls, the cool breeze on your face, and the endless valley stretching beyond. On clear days, the view is breathtaking; during monsoon, it transforms into a dramatic, misty wonderland.
But behind its beauty lies a haunting legend, adding a layer of mystery to its charm. To know more about this falls as well as Meghalaya watch my Meghalaya series on my YouTube channel.
