Today, Kerala didn’t just lose an actor.

We lost a smile that became part of our childhood.
A voice that made us laugh during difficult days.
A performer who proved that comedy and brilliance can exist in the same person.

Rest in peace, Salim Kumar. 💔

But while watching the funeral, something else disturbed me.

Why do we forget basic humanity the moment a camera comes out?

A funeral is not a tourist destination.
It is not a content creation spot.
It is not a place for selfies, celebrity spotting, or chasing viral videos.

Someone’s family is saying their final goodbye.

Yet many people stand there recording every second, taking photos, pushing through crowds, and treating grief like an event.

Respect is not shown by how close you get to a celebrity’s funeral.
Respect is shown by understanding when not to take a photo.

Some moments are meant to be witnessed.
Not captured.

Some moments deserve silence.
Not content.

Farewell, Salim Kumar.
Thank you for the laughter, the tears, and the memories.

And may we learn to be better human beings, especially when someone takes their last journey. 🙏
