Chand Baori is a 9th-century, 13-story deep stepwell in Abhaneri, Rajasthan, built by King Chanda. Known as one of India’s largest and deepest stepwells, it features 3,500 narrow, symmetrical steps descending 100 ft to water, designed to conserve water and provide relief from heat. It is a popular tourist site, featured in films like The Dark Knight Rises.
