🎥 As the crow flies over the South Kerry Greenway…

Take in spectacular aerial views of the recently extended section of the South Kerry Greenway. The newest section of the Greenway officially opened to the public yesterday afternoon, extending the route from Glenbeigh to Griffin’s Cottage at Kilkeehagh.

The latest extension features a new elevated boardwalk and N70 overbridge, both offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Visitors are advised that the Glenbeigh to Kilkeehagh section incorporates two short stretches of ‘quiet road’. These shared spaces are used by vehicles, walkers and cyclists, and all Greenway users are asked to take care and show consideration to others while enjoying the route.

A new 2.2km section officially opens from 12 noon this Friday, extending the route from Glenbeigh to Kilkeehagh and bringing the total distance now open to 6.2km for walkers and cyclists.

This marks the third section of the greenway to open within the past six months, with over one-third of the approved route now available for public use.

Highlights of the new section include a spectacular 100-metre elevated boardwalk with stunning views across the South Kerry countryside 🌿🚴‍♀️

Make a day of it by visiting Glenbeigh village, Rossbeigh Beach, the Fairy Forest and the many cafés, pubs and outdoor activities nearby.
