TARMONBARRY LOCAL NOTICE – TUESDAY 7TH APRIL

A fuel protest relating to the rising cost of fuel and the wider cost of living crisis is scheduled to take place in Tarmonbarry from 6:00 a.m.

All participants attending with tractors, trucks, buses, and other vehicles are asked to arrive safely, park only where it is legal to do so, and ensure that all emergency access routes and live traffic lanes remain clear at all times.

This is a peaceful event only. Please respect local residents, businesses, Garda directions, and all road safety requirements throughout the morning.

Some of you may or may not be aware of the massive countrywide protests that are taking place tomorrow. Hauliers farmers forestry men construction workers and more have had enough. The slow response from government and the contempt shown has broken the camels back. A formal letter was sent to every TD In Ireland last week demanding a reply by last Friday. Not 1 reply came back. This will undoubtedly cause disruption to all deliveries including our own. Our normal same day deliveries won't be able to be honoured until a solution is found.
