Last month, Gainjet Ireland successfully completed a complex intercontinental ferry operation, repositioning an ATR-72 (F-OZNO) from New Caledonia in the South Pacific to Idaho, USA — spanning oceans, continents, airspaces and time zones.

Departure: Nouméa, New Caledonia
Arrival: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, USA

The Route at a Glance

Over the course of the mission, the aircraft operated through:
NWWW → YBCS → YPDN → WADL → WSSL → VOMM → OOMS → HECA → LFKB → EICK → BIKF → CYFB → CYYQ → KGEG → KCOE

This journey crossed Asia-Pacific, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe (stopping at Cork Airport) , the North Atlantic, the Canadian Arctic and North America, requiring meticulous planning at every stage.
This demonstrates global flight planning and permitting
1. Remote and challenging airport operations
2. Long-range ferry experience across multiple FIRs
3. International regulatory coordination
4. Crew, fuel, handling and overflight management
5. Delivery flights executed safely, compliantly and on schedule

Gainjet Ireland, a Business Jet Operator based in Shannon Airport, Ireland, would like to receive expressions of interest from experienced CESSNA 500 series, Captains and First Officers for positions which may arise in the organisation, early in 2026.

The selected candidates should be available to start as soon as possible after selection.

Captains and First Officers whose Cessna 500 series type ratings have recently expired, are welcome to apply.

Applications from Captains with LTC experience on type, will be most welcome

Commander

• Minimum 3000 hors total flying time of which, 500 hors are PIC on type.
• Holders of EASA PART FCL ATPL,
• Holders of EASA First class medical certificate.



Co-pilot

• Minimum 1500 hors total flying time of which 500 hours are on type.
• Holders of EASA PART FCL CPL/ ATPL / Frozen ATPL
• Holders of EASA First class medical certificate.
