As we get closer to our 12-month mark in Ireland, I find myself reflecting on what an incredible year it has been.
We've gone from snowy days by the fireplace to warm sunshine, with the kids running around making new friends. This year has taught me not to take things for granted and to appreciate the simple things a little more. I love how, when the sun comes out, everyone heads outdoors, and when it rains, we embrace it and splash through the puddles.
We've met so many wonderful people, heard so many stories, and explored this beautiful country. From rolling green hills to ancient ruins and endless adventures, we feel so lucky to call Ireland home.
Packing up our lives and bringing the kids on their biggest adventure yet was a leap of faith, but watching them blossom has made it all worthwhile. New schools, new friends, sports, learning Gaelic, summer camps, and countless adventures—they've taken it all in their stride, like ducks to water. We couldn't be prouder of the incredible little humans they are becoming.
As a family, we've grown in ways we never expected. Friday night family dinners have become some of our favourite moments, filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness. We love who we are becoming and are excited to see what the future holds.
We miss our friends back home more than words can say, but knowing we'll see them again makes those reunions even more special.
