🚌 Ennis Service Update 🚌

Saturday 17th October 2026 will be the final day of operation for TFI Local Link Limerick Clare Route C6C Clarecastle to Ballymaley Business Park.

The new TFI Bus Route NS1 Clarecastle to Ballymaley Business Park will replace Route C6C from the following day, Sunday 18th October 2026.

TFI Route NS1 will be operated by City Direct on behalf of TFI (Transport for Ireland). The route will operate every 30mins.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our 2000 monthly passengers who have used and supported the service. We will ensure that the transition to the new TFI service is a smooth one.

Fantastic engagement from hundreds of attendees of the Health and Wellbeing Age Expo last week at Treacy's West County Hotel in Ennis. Well done to Clare County Council and Age Friendly Clare for organising another excellent event.

We were delighted to be on hand to answer a range of questions on timetables, home pick ups, bus stops, future plans and community engagement.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Ballyhoura Walking Festival which returns to Kilfinane this weekend alongside the beloved Joyce Brothers Music Festival.

From Thursday 8th October to Sunday 11th October, the festival promises four days of guided walks, outdoor adventures, heritage experiences, local food, creativity and traditional music across Counties Limerick and Cork.

If you are planning on attending, consider using our 520 and LK63 routes.

The LK63 offers three return journeys on Friday and Saturday evenings from Kilmallock, Bulgaden and Martinstown, while the 520 service offers a wide range of connections in the area both during the day and with it's weekend evening service.

TFI Local Link Limerick Clare were delighted to attend the CIHT (The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation) Conference in Dublin last week.

The conference title was 'Mobility Safety for All'. It was all themed around accessibility and road safety.

It brought together industry leaders, practitioners and user representatives to explore how inclusive design can support safer and more accessible transport networks.

Great to hear from Chairman of CIHT Ireland John Fleming, Sue Percy, CIHT CEO and Kate Carpenter, CIHT President.

Other excellent speakers were from TII (Transport Infrastructure Ireland), NTA (National Transport Authority), Vision Ireland, Irish Wheelchair Association, TU Dublin / OT Baile Átha Cliath and the Road Safety Authority Ireland

Due to a funeral in Feenagh Village on Saturday, the 521 will be unable to service St Ita's Church at 13:04 and 13:16.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of our friend and colleague, Elizabeth (Liz) Lynch. Liz was more than a driver, she was a familiar and friendly face to many passengers on our L5 and LK10 services. Her warm smile, kindness and commitment to helping others made a lasting impression on those she met each day.

Recently, we were delighted to accept the invitation to speak to the Clare Older People's Council Public Community Information Afternoon in Shannon.

Good to meet existing and prospective passengers.

Questions ranged from transport to hospital appointments, bus stop positioning in villages and towns and the general improvement of the Shannon public transport network over the past two years.

Great interest in our home pick up's on our demand responsive services also.

Please message us if you want us to speak/present to your local group or have a stand at an event you are organising.

🏃Due to road closures in place for the 2026 Charleville International Half-Marathon on Sunday 13th September, expect delays on our 520 and 521 services throughout the morning. 🏃

The following effects will be in place on the 520 service…

09:25 leg from Bruree, will first depart from Glenfield Housing Estate, Kilmallock at 09:40 before going to Bruree and onto Charleville.
10:15 leg will start from Charleville but will not service Effin, Ardpatrick, Kilfinane or Ballingaddy. Will travel to Glenfield Housing Estate, Kilmallock via O’Rourke’s Cross and Bruree. Will still service Doneraile.
Service will resume as normal from 13:30 Charleville to Kilmallock onwards.
Expect minor delays on the 521 Charleville to Newcastle West services.

🚨593 Contactless Service Update🚨

Due to technical difficulties, Contactless Payments will not be available on the 593 service over the weekend.

Cash and TFI Leap Cards can still be used as valid payment methods on board. The service itself will be running as normal.
