Due to technical difficulties, Contactless Payments will not be available on the 593 service over the weekend.

Cash and TFI Leap Cards can still be used as valid payment methods on board. The service itself will be running as normal.

It has been three weeks since Contactless Payments were rolled out across all TFI Local Link Regular Rural Services in Limerick and Clare. 🎉

In this video, Evan demonstrates the process of using Contactless Payments on TFI Local Link Route 521. The 521 is one of our most frequent regular services with six return trips a day between Newcastle West and Charleville. This service is ideal for taking a day trip to see the sights and sounds of Newcastle West including the iconic Desmond Castle.

On Monday 17th August 2026, changes to Cash Fare options on selected TFI Local Link services will come into effect.

From this date, several fare products including Adult Return, Adult 7-Day, Young Adult Single, Young Adult Return, Young Adult 7-Day, Child 7-Day and Child Return will no longer be available to purchase with cash.

Passengers will still be able to purchase Adult Single and Child Single fares with both Cash and Contactless Payments. Passengers will also still be able to purchase Single, 1 Day and 7 Day tickets using TFI Leap Card upon boarding and on the TFI Go app.

These changes will effect RRS routes only and are part of ongoing efforts to reduce cash handling on TFI services nationwide.

Today sees the 39th Feakle Festival kick off in East Clare and bringing with it a week of sessions, workshops and fantastic events to the village of Feakle. If you are planning on commuting to the festivities, consider our 342 Ennis to Flagmount via Scariff & Feakle service.

🚍This Regular Rural Service connects Feakle with Ennis, Tulla, Scariff, Tuamgraney, Bodyke, and Flagmount. With three return journeys, 7 days a week, this service is great for those travelling from further afield for the great craic and sessions of this beloved festival. Our Ennis stops at Friar's Walk and Ennis Station are ideal for connections with Bus Eireann, Dublin Coach, and Flight Link services.🚍

🎻 Kilrush Traditional Music and Set Dancing Festival 2026 🎻

This August Bank Holiday Weekend, the annual Kilrush Traditional Music and Set Dancing Festival returns to the picturesque coast of West Clare. Between workshops, concerts and open air céilís, the craic is sure to be mighty. If you are planning on attending the festivities, please consider using our 337 and 339 Regular Rural Services to commute.

🚍 You can use our 337 service to travel from the heart of Ennis at Friar's Walk to the heart of Kilrush with three return journeys on Saturday and Monday and two on Sunday, while our 339 service offers two return trips from Kilkee to Kilrush, 7 days a week. 🚍
