A look back at Ethereal in Amsterdam. These photos show the world’s first hybrid superyacht at the start and end of an earlier visit to the Huisfit facilities. Built by Royal Huisman and launched in 2008, Ethereal remains a pioneer in innovation, comfort and ocean-going capability.
During a refit, Huisfit supports not only the yacht, but also her crew. From practical assistance to hospitality and comfortable accommodation close to the shipyard, every detail helps make time in Amsterdam as smooth and efficient as possible.
Captain Peter Grubb adds about the crew accommodation during the refit: “Really easy: you could be downtown Amsterdam in 15 to 20 minutes from the apartments. And also close to the shipyard: I rode my bike every day.”

S/Y Legend is living up to her name, with fantastic adventures and doing what she was designed to do! She is the first Superyacht I designed as head designer at Ron Holland Design back in 1996. It’s been amazing to have always been involved with the yacht since the beginning, with the owners, their families, captains and crew of this wonderful yacht!
