glór Dance, music, theatre, film, visual arts, comedy and more in the heart of Ennis.

Every day we witness how theatre, dance, music and visual arts impact individuals, and we strive to break down barriers to create a welcoming, inclusive and positive space that everyone can enjoy. glór is a multi-disciplinary arts centre located in the heart of Ennis, Co Clare, housing a 505-seat theatre, a 60 seat Studio, a gallery, break out spaces, and a café. In addition to hosting local, nati

onal and international events (music, theatre, talks, festivals, dance, film, comedy, and visual arts), we also provide a welcoming space for community groups, families, and vulnerable members of society to meet and access the arts. In 2022 we celebrated 21 years in operation presenting over 300 performances and 9 visual arts exhibitions from local, national, and international artists as well as over 55 community groups. We endeavour to remove hindrances that prevent people from accessing the arts, support Clare artists so they can continue to create artistic works, and provide a space for community groups to meet.IN 2019, GASP (glór Arts for Schools Programme) helps over 1800 schoolchildren annually access the arts by reducing some of the financial obstacles in attending daytime performances at glór through subsidising tickets and transportation costs. We also run programmes that provide financial and creative support to artists in Clare – glór Associate Artists, Artists' Residencies, Bursaries, development space and times, commissions and and co-productions of work. Our Mission: To advance arts education in County Clare through the establishment of a national centre in Ennis Co. Clare specialising in the performance of Irish music and related educational activities. 📢 DEADLINE REMINDER-Calling All Artists 📢

Groundwork at glór: 20–24 July 2026
A week-long residency for 5 performing arts practitioners from or based in Co. Clare.

If you are at an early stage of a project and wondering how to take the next step, then this is for you.

Groundwork at glór is a five-day opportunity for professional, freelance performing arts practitioners to spend time thinking, making and reflecting in the company of peers.
We’re inviting five artists from or based in Co. Clare to take part in this shared residency, supporting time and space to focus on individual artist’s ideas in need of development, with opportunities to reflect and problem-solve with peers across the week.
A host artist will also be present throughout the residency to support artists and act as a sounding board for ideas, depending on the needs of each artist.
This is your chance to try things out, connect with others, and get your work seen in a welcoming, creative space.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, we’d love to hear from you.

Sat 26 June | 8pm | 2027

Ireland’s favourite comedian/Mammy translator, Jarlath Regan is back on the road with a brand new standup show for 2027, Craic Pot.
