We are incredibly sad to find out that one of our dearest member Paolo Biondi (or P! As many knew him) has sadly past away.
Paolo was an inspiration to all of us, his dedication to attending every Milan game was unmatched. Whether an away game in Bratislava or a Coppa Italia game at home, Paolo was always there. He was always there with his love for the club but most importantly for the companionship. As a matter of fact, Paolo had not missed a single Milan game for 30 years! the only exception when he came to Dublin last Saint Patrick’s day to be with us! Because thats what Paolo valued the most, friendship.
To quote from an interview he did last year
“More than Football, more than the victories in the trophy cabinet and the defeats, friendship: “Spending Saturday and Sunday away with my friends pleases me, it gives me joy. I’ve heard people say, ‘It’s cold, it’s the Coppa Italia, there will be maybe 1,000 people: what are you going there for?’ That’s not the point: sometimes the game relatively interests us, like the Coppa Italia precisely, the important thing is that there are friends, the group.”
For Milan Club Dublin Paolo’s pictures at the games where a reference point. You knew when Paolo posted the picture inside the stadium it was time to sit down on the sofa or to start ordering your drinks at the pub before kick off. He was incredibly reliable and always happy to send us pictures for the games. His generosity and kindness could be seen even further when he helped people find tickets to games and of course with the crèche that he set up in Milan.
I remember one evening in Milan when I was stuck for a ticket to a game he texted me “if you come to me I will give you a ticket but most importantly I will offer you a beer”
Paolo was an amazing person somebody who can’t be replaced. We are going to miss you dearly and we wish we could watch one more game with you.
Our deepest condolences to all of Paolo’s family.
Ti vogliamo tanto bene Paolo 💔🖤
