Украина 🇺🇦 — от 7 до 14 рабочих дней
Грузия 🇬🇪 и Армения 🇦🇲 — от 10 до 21 рабочего дня

Were you using AddressPal from A Post? Then this matters.

On 9 October, An Post announced they’re closing the AddressPal website on 16 October. They’re no longer accepting new customers.

If you don’t know what AddressPal was — it gave you a virtual UK or US address. You’d order to that address from shops that don’t ship to Ireland, and An Post would forward it to you.

Why are they closing it? An Post told customers that new customs rules (€3 per item from the UK since July 2026) have made cross-border shipping “more complex than when AddressPal was first introduced.”

If you used AddressPal — you need an alternative.

Yes. And here’s why that’s even possible.

We’re not just an Irish company. We have five offices:

What does that mean in practice?

If you’re in the UK and want to send something from there — our UK office accepts parcels.

If you want to order things online but delivery to Ireland isn’t available — get a personal address in Spain or Poland through my.budget-parcel.com. It’s legal and it works.

In 15 years we’ve seen everything. Parcels that arrived perfectly. And parcels that... let’s just say we don’t talk about those 😄

Here’s what we’ve learned — straight up.

1. The box should fit the contents
A big empty box deforms in transit. An overpacked one bursts. Get a box where things sit snugly with a thin layer of cushioning.

2. Corrugated cardboard — full stop
Not bags, not shoeboxes, not appliance packaging. Only corrugated cardboard handles the stress of international shipping.

3. Fragile things go in the centre
Not against the walls, not on top. Centre. Soft cushioning on all sides. This works.

4. Liquids go in a bag first
Any cream, shampoo or jam — seal it in a zip-lock bag first. Once a jar of jam opened mid-transit and soaked everything else. We tell everyone about this now.

5. A «Fragile» sticker doesn’t save you
It’s just information. Not protection. Only proper packing protects.

6. Sharp items must be wrapped
Knives, scissors — sharp edges need to be covered so they can’t cut through the box from inside.

7. The barcode must be readable
Check the label is clean and undamaged. If a scanner can’t read it — the parcel stays put.

Мы понимаем. Правда. Когда человек живёт далеко от дома и хочет помочь семье — он готов отправить всё что нужно.

ВОПРОС 1: «Сколько времени займёт доставка?»
Зависит от страны. Украина — обычно 7-14 дней. Грузия/Армения — 10-21 день. Польша — 3-7 дней. Точный срок показывает калькулятор. Мы не обещаем то что не можем выполнить.

ВОПРОС 2: «Можно ли отправить лекарства?»
Можно — но только с рецептом и правильно оформленной декларацией. Напишите нам список — скажем что можно и как правильно указать.

ВОПРОС 3: «Курьер приедет в выходные?»
Да. Мы работаем и в субботу. Уточните при заказе.

ВОПРОС 4: «Что если посылка потеряется?»

ИЮЛЬ 2026 (уже действует):
€3 за каждый вид товара в посылках до €150 из стран вне ЕС.

НОЯБРЬ 2026 (ожидается):
Дополнительный €2 handling fee за обработку каждой посылки.

ИЮЛЬ 2028 (объявлено):
Плоская ставка €3 заменяется стандартными тарифами ЕС по категориям товаров.
Это означает: на одежду — один процент, на электронику — другой, на косметику — третий. Ставки могут быть значительно выше €3.

In 2028, EU customs will change again. And it could be bigger than the €3 charge.

Here’s the full timeline — explained in one place for the first time.

JULY 2026 (already in effect):
€3 per item type on parcels under €150 from outside the EU.

NOVEMBER 2026 (expected):
Additional €2 handling fee per parcel.
Source: DPD Ireland official

JULY 2028 (announced):
The flat €3 rate is replaced by standard EU tariff rates per product category.
Meaning: clothing at one rate, electronics at another, cosmetics at another. Rates could be significantly higher than €3.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:

If you’re buying goods from the UK, China, the USA — online shopping from these countries will get more expensive every two years.

If you’re SENDING parcels FROM Ireland home — this doesn’t directly affect you. You’re shipping out of the EU, not into it.
