Hello everyone,
Today we are pleased to present a very well-known and highly regarded blue water cruiser recently added to Navigare’s fleet for sale: the Hallberg-Rassy 46.
Designed by the renowned German Frers, the Hallberg-Rassy 46 was built between 1995 and 2005, with only 132 units produced. She was awarded Yacht of the Year in 1996 and represents an important evolution of the successful Hallberg-Rassy 45.
With a significantly wider stern, increased interior volume, a larger cockpit and an improved steering system, the HR 46 anticipated many of the design features that would later become standard on modern cruising yachts. She combines the traditional qualities associated with Hallberg-Rassy with excellent sailing performance, substantial construction and the comfort required for serious long-distance cruising.
This particular example underwent a major refit in 2019, with a substantial programme of technical and interior upgrades. Among the most important works, the original engine was replaced with a modern and more powerful 175 hp Volvo Penta D-175. The generator was also replaced, together with the standing rigging, while the electrical system underwent a complete refurbishment.
The interior was significantly upgraded as well, including the galley, bathrooms and upholstery. The aft owner's cabin was also redesigned to incorporate a centrally positioned double bed, creating a more comfortable and practical layout.
The 2019 refit was followed by a continuous programme of maintenance and improvements over the subsequent years. These works include new air conditioning, a new battery charger, an additional fridge/freezer, a new boom vang and various other upgrades carried out as part of the yacht's ongoing maintenance.
One of the most interesting aspects of this Hallberg-Rassy 46 is the level of documentation accompanying the yacht.
The previous owner developed a dedicated management programme recording the detailed history of the maintenance and works carried out on board. The system also includes an interactive inventory, allowing the owner to identify the location of every piece of equipment and machinery on the yacht.
This management system, together with the yacht's complete paper documentation, will be transferred to the new owner.
The yacht is currently located in southern Sardinia, with her berth at the exclusive Cagliari Marina already paid until July 2027.
A proven blue water design, a major refit, continuous subsequent maintenance and an unusually detailed record of the yacht's history make this Hallberg-Rassy 46 a particularly interesting opportunity for sailors looking for a serious cruising yacht, ready to be enjoyed both in Sardinian waters and on longer passages.
