Valencia has a truly great green lung in the 9 km Turia Gardens. Following terrible floods of the Turia river in 1957, it was planned to divert the river and turn the bed into a motorway. Public opinion won out and it instead became a park where all of Valencia can enjoy.

A new security law was introduced in Spain on December 2nd. The State Secretariat for Security will now require hotels, accommodation providers, and car rental firms to collect personal data from visitors.
It will require information about all persons staying in accommodation except under 14s. The information will include names, addresses, phone numbers, gender, passport details, and email addresses.
This may lead to delays at check-in when it gets busier.
