☘️ The beautiful village of Leenane is often described as the Gateway to Connemara. It's on the border between Galway and Mayo here, where the roads from Maam, Clifden, and Westport meet and where Killary Harbour pushes 10 miles inland. With the beautiful mountains of Ben Gorm and Mweelrea rising on either side, Leenane has what some would say is the best scenery in Ireland. The film ‘The Field’ was made in Leenane in 1989. Very beautiful do you agree.
