Remembering Fungie 6 years on 🐬❤️

Six years since Fungie was last spotted in Di**le Harbour.

For 37 years he was part of life in the little Kerry town, becoming one of Irelands most loved characters and bringing people from all over the world to Di**le Bay & a very special part of Di**le Sea Safari & was part of the founding of the company and where Jimmy our company director got his inspiration to showcase more of the Di**le Peninsula & Di**le Bay!

Our marketing manager Jamie spoke to content creator Will Murphy about Fungie, the memories he left behind and what he meant to the people of Di**le.

Our marketing manager Jamie on yesterday before been announced as the winner of the Working Together Business Supports package competition 2026 from CSG and Radio Kerry this morning! 🎉

Our own Jamie Ó Flannúra headed to the Grand Final at CSG in Tralee, broadcast live on Kerry Today with Jerry O’Sullivan, to pitch for the family business. Six Kerry businesses made it through to the final, and it was a brilliant group to be part of.

As a family run business, the CSG Advisory Package will help us plan for the long term and future proof Di**le Sea Safari for the next generation. The Radio Kerry advertising is a great chance to remind people across the county of the experience that’s right on their doorstep in Di**le Bay.

A huge thank you to CSG and Radio Kerry for their support, and to everyone who has been part of our story so far. Congratulations also to our fellow finalists: Demorris Ltd, Adams of Tralee, The Laurels Pub & Restaurant, Autism Friendly Kerry and OCON Projects.
