After more than 25 years in operation, we can confirm that SEA LIFE Bray will be closing its doors to guests for the last time on 30th December 2023. This has been a very difficult decision and one that was made only after careful consideration.
Whilst we will close the doors to guests at the end of this year, we will continue to look after our team members and care for our animals throughout this transition. We are in the process of identifying suitable new homes for the animals that we currently house and are providing full support to our team members.
We are proud of the positive impact SEA LIFE Bray has had on the thousands of children and families that have visited over the decades, showing guests first-hand the wonders of the world's oceans and the important role we can all play in conserving the oceans for future generations.
We want to thank our amazing team and guests who have made this time so memorable. Please do share your favourite memories of SEA LIFE Bray with us in the comments below.

SEA LIFE Bray can confirm that it will be permanently closing its doors towards the end of 2023 after more than 25 years in operation. A spokesperson at SEA LIFE Bray said:

“After careful consideration, we have taken the difficult decision to close this attraction towards the end of this year. The priority now is to support our team members with advice on career opportunities at other attractions across the Group, and find suitable homes for the animals we currently house, utilising the rest of our SEA LIFE global and European network. As the world’s leading aquarium chain, the SEA LIFE brand maintains a strong presence across the UK and Europe as part of a network of more than 50 aquariums across the globe.

Join us for Quiet at the Aquarium this Sunday. These sessions provide a quieter experience for those with Autism and other neurodiverse conditions.

Upon entry to SEA LIFE Bray, those with autism and other sensory requirements will be offered a sticker sheet to help them visually display their emotions at any given point.

Developed in partnership with Merlin’s Magic Wand and the founder of award winning clothing brand Born Anxious, Kellie Barker, the sensory cues will enable neurodivergent guests to show how they feel during their visit to SEA LIFE Bray.

3 facts we bet you didn't know for National Marine Week 🌊

🐶 Blue-spotted Ribbontail Rays give birth to live young; the babies are called pups!

🦖 Jellyfish are the oldest multi-organ animal, with fossil evidence indicating they existed over 500 million years ago, predating the dinosaurs.

🦓 Zebra Sharks hatch with black and white stripes, but as they grow, their colour changes to a pale yellow with spots, meaning they are often confused with leopard sharks.
