With great sadness and a lot of great memories of our beloved Johnny Williams, we share the sad news of his passing.

Johnny was one of our original Southern Cross drivers and we still get people asking after him years after his retirement.

Not only was Johnny a dependable and valuable driver, his son Martin Williams is part of our team and we extend our sympathies and condolences to all the family.

Lovely man, will never be forgotten. RIP.

A great group day trip today as we travelled to Athy to the newly opened Shackleton Experience Athy museum. A really well presented and interesting exhibition made even better by their wonderful guide Anne. Added bonus of deliciously fresh baked treats in their Ernie’s cafe.

A trip on over to Kildare to Silken Thomas who looked after us so well with a lovely lunch. And then we took the scenic route home over the Wicklow mountains.

And of course all the way Eugene Finnegan sharing his fact finding nuggets.

As Shackleton himself would say “the only true failure would be not to explore at all”.

Suggest leaving lots of extra time to get anywhere today as M50 northbound closed between Cherrywood and Carrickmines , so feeder roads / N11 starting to back up.

Just took one of our buses an hour to get from Killincarrig to Bray as passing Kindlestown to get to Blacklion is basically at a standstill .
