With great sadness and a lot of great memories of our beloved Johnny Williams, we share the sad news of his passing.

Johnny was one of our original Southern Cross drivers and we still get people asking after him years after his retirement.

Not only was Johnny a dependable and valuable driver, his son Martin Williams is part of our team and we extend our sympathies and condolences to all the family.

Lovely man, will never be forgotten. RIP.

A great group day trip today as we travelled to Athy to the newly opened Shackleton Experience Athy museum. A really well presented and interesting exhibition made even better by their wonderful guide Anne. Added bonus of deliciously fresh baked treats in their Ernie’s cafe.

A trip on over to Kildare to Silken Thomas who looked after us so well with a lovely lunch. And then we took the scenic route home over the Wicklow mountains.

And of course all the way Eugene Finnegan sharing his fact finding nuggets.

As Shackleton himself would say “the only true failure would be not to explore at all”.

Suggest leaving lots of extra time to get anywhere today as M50 northbound closed between Cherrywood and Carrickmines , so feeder roads / N11 starting to back up.

Just took one of our buses an hour to get from Killincarrig to Bray as passing Kindlestown to get to Blacklion is basically at a standstill .

Long shot ….but one of our drivers is trying to find somewhere to live locally in Bray so if anyone knows of or hears of a house share / room to let please do let us know!

Great night had at the celebrating the best of industry, catching up with old friends and making some new ones. So proud of Sarah making it to the top 4 finalists and though no trophy, we were delighted to be indoctrinated into the Hall of Fame.

Sarah Finnegan Nominated for Prestigious Women in Transport Award!!

We are delighted that “our Sarah” is shortlisted as a National Finalist at this year’s Fleet Bus & Coach Awards in the Women in Transport Category.

As second generation , Sarah has added her range of experience and skills from other industries to help build the family Finnegan Bray coach and minibus business to the successful operation it is today. A qualified Transport Manager and Coach driver herself , Sarah often shares her knowledge base of the transport industry in interviews on local media and with local representatives. Her lobbying and networking extends to being a current director of Bray & District Chamber of Commerce, where she was previously elected President.

There are only four finalists in the category and it is an honour that Sarah’s commitment, experience and capabilities have been recognised at this national level. We wish Sarah the very best of luck in this prestigious awards at the Johnstown Estate on Thursday 13th November 2025!!

Delighted to have finally enjoyed the hospitality of Polly's Vintage Tea Rooms at Green Angel Ballard Wicklow as they officially became members of Wicklow Naturally at the launch of October Fest.

With a room that hosts about 35, we look forward to transporting groups there soon!
