At Applied Concepts, our main business focus is on the design and manufacturing of high quality CE approved portable blasting machines and PTO Air Compressors.

Applied is a 100% Irish owned company located in the centre of Ireland at Birr, Co. Offaly. We offer a broad range of portable blast machines, abrasive blasting related equipment, abrasive blasting media, spares and consumables. The Applied blast machines are built to ensure a long operating life, with each unit being constructed from high quality components to withstand continuous use in the most demanding of applications. The Applied range of blast pots are efficient, combining safety and ease of use with performance, functionally and reliability. With our own in house demonstration facility, all products can be tried and tested before purchase. We hold extensive stock of all the products we sell and order fulfilment is carried out in-house. This means a very quick turnaround with around 98% of orders being despatched 'same day'. Next day delivery by courier can be arranged anywhere in Ireland or the U.K. For other destinations, contact us and we can advise individually. 🏆 September Kaizen of the Month 🏆

A huge congratulations to Justin Bergin, our September Kaizen of the Month! 👏

Justin is a true Champion at Applied. Every day, he looks for ways to help others, make things easier and improve the way we work.

His winning improvement this month is a perfect example.

Justin created a simple jig to mark exactly where a bracket needs to be welded onto our blast machines.

Before this improvement, Justin was constantly walking back and forth to get a measuring tape and chalk to mark the correct position - a perfect example of the waste of “Motion.”

Not anymore. 👌 Justin saw something that was bugging him… and he fixed it. That’s what continuous improvement is all about: spotting an opportunity, making a practical change and making the job easier for everyone.

Well done, Justin! 👏 Keep spotting it. Keep fixing it. Keep making things better.

Another brilliant Lean Tour at Applied! 🚀

A big thank you to our fantastic guests from Breedon Group plc and our good friends from AOC Commercials, and to our special guest Maureen O'Callaghan, for joining us.

It was a great morning full of enthusiasm, questions and plenty of conversation. That’s what makes these tours so worthwhile, not just showing what we do, but sharing ideas, experiences and learning from each other.

One question in particular generated a LOT of conversation:
